Characteristics of psychological adjustment disorder:

Adjustment disorder is a psychological disorder caused by stressful life events. Symptoms usually appear within 3 months of the event, and the individual has difficulty maintaining relationships in the face of environmental or life changes, and experiences excessive emotional distress and behavioral problems. These changes may include family changes, work pressure, daytime difficulties, intimate stress, etc. The main characteristics of adjustment disorder include emotional symptoms (such as depression, anxiety, anger) and symptoms (such as avoidance). The individual's lack of attention makes it impossible to effectively adapt to these changes, which in turn affects the normal progress of daily life. Compared with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), the symptoms of adjustment disorder last longer and usually ease within 6 months. Although its symptoms may appear, if not treated in time, it may also lead to long-term emotional problems or trigger other psychological disorders.

Lesson 149:Overview of Adjustment Disorders

Being unable to adapt to change is not a weakness, but a normal human nature.

Sometimes, life just moves too fast and the heart hasn't had time to catch up.

What you are experiencing is a temporary loss and will not define your entire life.

Lesson 150:Types of adjustment disorders

Having different troubles doesn’t mean you are worse than others, it just means you need different care.

Emotions are expressed in thousands of ways, and your reaction is a unique response.

Knowing your types is to understand yourself better, not to limit yourself.

Lesson 151:Causes of psychological adjustment disorders

You didn't suddenly "get worse", but you have experienced too many things that need to be understood.

Some changes may seem small, but they can deeply shake your inner balance.

Don't blame yourself for "not being able to adapt." Your reaction has its reasons.

Lesson 152:Diagnosis and assessment of psychological adjustment disorders

Being able to face and confirm things bravely is the first step to getting out of trouble.

To be understood is not to be defined, but to get real help.

Every time you are seen, it is an illumination to your heart.

Lesson 153:Treatment of psychological adjustment disorders

Therapy is not about fixing the “broken you” but about awakening the gentle you.

Some change is inevitable, but you can choose to respond to it differently.

You have the right and the ability to regain your inner peace and rhythm.

Lesson 154:Strategies to prevent adjustment disorders and self-care

Self-care is not an escape, but a wise form of self-accompaniment.

Even small adjustments can bring huge benefits in daily life.

You don’t have to wait until you can’t take it anymore to start taking care of yourself, you can do it now.
