C. Compulsive and impulsive problems

Lesson 19: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Impulsivity (Lessons 681-720)

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder characterized by recurring obsessive-compulsive cognitions and behaviors. Patients often recognize that these thoughts or behaviors are irrational, but struggle to control them. This leads to worsening anxiety, time perception, and functional development, requiring behavioral intervention and cognitive therapy.

Lesson 20: Body Morphology Disorders (Lessons 721-760)

Body dysmorphia is an individual's excessive concern and denial about their own external form, and they may even believe that they are "ugly" even if they think they are normal. They often reflect on themselves, repeatedly check, cover up, avoid socializing, and other behaviors, which seriously affect their self-esteem and partners.

Lesson 21: Hoarding Obstacles (Lessons 761-800)

Hoarding is a common psychological and behavioral disorder characterized by the accumulation of items, a difficulty discarding them, and a sense of security in a chaotic space. Patients often place special emotional significance on items and worry about the consequences of losing them. Hoarding behavior often causes family conflict and disrupts daily life.

Lesson 22: Trichotillomania (Lessons 801-830)

This is a common disorder in which patients repeatedly pull out their hair, eyebrows, or head to relieve tension, but this may also be accompanied by shame or guilt. Symptoms are often stress-related and require a combination of behavioral training and emotional counseling.

Lesson 23: Skin Peeling Syndrome (Lessons 831-860)

Dermatoschisis is a behavioral disorder in which patients repeatedly scratch or pick at their own skin, often to relieve anxiety or achieve a brief sense of pleasure. This behavior can lead to hidden scars or scarring, and is often associated with underlying emotional regulation and self-control disorders.

Lesson 24: Impulse Control Disorders (Lessons 861-900)

Dyscontrol is a type of behavioral disorder that can include an inability to resist shock, intense actions, and subsequent reminders. This can manifest as angry outbursts, destructive behaviors, or excessive eating, often driven by emotional and cognitive imbalances.
